Breast Imaging Victoria at Dine for Pink
Last week, Breast Imaging Victoria’s Caroline was proud to participate in and speak at the Dine for Pink event — a community evening dedicated to raising awareness and support for breast cancer research.
The event brought together members of the local community to support an important cause while encouraging conversations around breast health, early detection, and advances in breast imaging technology.
During the evening, Caroline shared insights into the importance of breast awareness and timely assessment, while also discussing the different imaging modalities used in modern breast care, including:
- The difference between 2D Mammography and 3D Mammography
(Tomosynthesis)
- The role of Contrast-Enhanced Mammography (CEM) in breast imaging
- The difference between BreastScreen and Private Breast Imaging pathways
- The importance of personalised imaging approaches based on individual
patient needs and breast density
The presentation provided attendees with a greater understanding of how advanced imaging technologies can support earlier detection, more accurate diagnosis, and improved patient outcomes.

At Breast Imaging Victoria, we are passionate about supporting community education initiatives and empowering women with knowledge around breast health and screening options.
We would like to thank the organisers and attendees for creating such a meaningful event and for their ongoing support of breast cancer awareness and research.
